We support Whānau to lead healthier lifestyles and access health services and create plans for taha wairua, hinengaro, tinana and whānau wellbeing.

We assist in linking Whānau with:

• Quit smoking programme

• Alcohol and other drugs (AOD) support

• Mental health support

• General Practitioner services

• Health specialist Services

We can offer healthcare advice and
support with:

Transport to appointments

Access to our free Te Kakano Nurse-lead clinic. In partnership with Awarua Whānua Services.  Free drop-in sessions nurse led clinics held at the Alexandra office and Cromwell Community House.  Sexual health, asthmas, wound health management and general wellbeing checks.

In-house vaccination capabilities with a registered nurse and qualified Vaccination Health Workers. We also offer outreach to worksites and rural locations in our health bus ‘Tipi Haere’

Whānau health plans and goals

MĀMĀ AND PĒPI

Māma and Pēpi support/Kahu Taurima Supporting Hapu Whānau with tamariki from birth to 5 years.  Social and health support for Hapu Māmā. They meet on Mondays 11am – 1pm at Alexandra Baptist Church, 6 Gregg Street – drop-ins welcome.

GYM

Advice and plans with our Whakapakari Tinana/Fitness Coach Civia.  Civia offers one on one coaching in our boutique gym space at the main office in Alexandra on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays, the gym is available for drops-in wanting to work out in privacy at their own time and speed an additional bonus is having a weights library available for whānau to use. Also, available in our gym are 2 rowing machines converted specifically for Waka Ama for land-based training.

MIRIMIRI

 We have weekly free Mirimiri (Traditional Māori massage and healing techniques clinic in the Alexandra and Tahuna offices on Wednesday – please call on 0800 485 111 for an appointment.

Deinse – Kaimirimiri

FREE Outreach Immunisation
